Opportunity for a quality engineer to join an award-winning manufacturing company who have been trading for 100+ years. They have recently introduced a new senior management team which has led to an increase in performance for the site. They have a large headcount on this site along with having operations across 5 continents.

The quality engineer will report into the quality manager onsite and will be heavily involved in helping to change the culture of the site relating to quality and working closely with the manufacturing team to implement long term preventative measures and continuous improvement. The department is growing and expanding and there are opportunities to undertake training and development to enhance your existing skills.

As the quality engineer your duties will include:

  • Maintaining all quality documentation within the QMS
  • Providing guidance and support to the manufacturing team relating to quality
  • Investigating any quality issues and implementing preventative measures
  • Analysing trends and data to establish long term preventative measures that can be implemented to improve quality
  • Conducting internal audits both onsite at the manufacturing plant and at other company sites across the UK

To be a successful quality engineer, you will need:

  • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of a range of quality tools and techniques such as 8D, RCA, 5WHYS, etc.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with the manufacturing team to improve the performance of quality
  • Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office applications

In return, the quality engineer will receive a salary of £25,000- £30,000 + pension, healthcare etc.

Hours of work are 8am-4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3:30pm on a Friday.
