Our client is looking to recruit an Electro-Mechanical Service Engineer to their expanding team.
This position is based from out of our clients location in Bedford however you will also be required to cover surrounding areas (South East) so therefore you will be located accordingly. You will conduct maintenance and repairs out in the field on equipment at customer sites but also be required to work on more in depth servicing and maintenance at company's Bedford site.
The core business is to provide the construction and utilities sectors with specialised commercial utility vehicles.
Service Engineer main roles and responsibilities will be to:
*Conduct planned preventative maintenance & routine servicing in line with company policy & plans
*Fault finding and effect repairs as necessary
*Repair/Configure remote control units
*Identify/Repair Hydraulic/Pneumatic issues
*Fault logging & produce maintenance reports
You will be an experienced field engineer, multi skilled with an appreciation of control systems and electrical circuits in addition to the mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic service requirements. This position will involve regular travel to customer locations and sites and you must have a flexible approach to assist the needs of the company and clients.
You will ideally possess a recognised mechanical/electrical qualification (C&G/NVQ/ONC/HNC) formal apprenticeship/forces engineering background or other relevant engineering qualification to compliment your field service experience.
A HGV license would be an advantage as would candidates with experience of PTO and auxiliary heavy equipment.
Extensive specialised training is provided by the company.
