Electrical Maintenance Technician

Opportunity for an electrical maintenance technician to move into a field service based role working days Monday to Friday and join an established business who have shown consistent growth over the last 15 years. They are an authorised provider for a world leading OEM industrial equipment manufacturer and they serve a wide range of customers including a number of leading blue-chip companies and household names within their fields.

Following a recent partnership agreement with another leading equipment manufacturer (the only one of its kind in the UK), the company have plans to extend its product and service offering further and are primed for further growth in 2019. The organisation's culture is friendly and there is a history of long service within the current engineering team.

As the field service engineer, you will be based from home and mainly cover the South Wales and South West of England although there will be an initial period of time based from the workshop in Bristol to undertake training (as well as needing to work from the Bristol site occasionally and attend team meetings there). You will provide support for OEM equipment to a range of blue-chip companies across the manufacturing, water and power industries. Your duties will include: -

  • Commissioning, installation, fault finding and repair of drives on customer sites
  • Undertaking preventative maintenance on drives
  • Repairing and servicing drives at the onsite workshop
  • Being part of a call out rota, 1 week out of every 4-6 weeks

  • A time served electrical apprenticeship and experience as an electrical maintenance technician within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Proven electrical fault finding and repair skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good general IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

In return, the field service engineer will receive a salary of £30,000-£40,000 (dependent on experience), a call out allowance of £2,400 annually, company van, potential bonus, 5% pension contribution, private medical cover, mobile phone and laptop.
