Buyer / Senior Buyer

Opportunity for a buyer / senior buyer to join a global manufacturing organisation that employs close to 200 staff. The company are family owned and have a modern automated manufacturing plant that serves a wide range of customers.

The position of buyer / senior buyer is a chance for a purchasing professional, or a graduate with a few years of relevant experience, to learn how the company operates and develop themselves into a more senior role through performance.

Your responsibilities as the buyer / senior buyer will include:

  • Sourcing of suppliers and building of relationships with them
  • Processing of orders via ERP system
  • Sourcing of products as requested for the business
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement within the supply chain function
  • Working closely with other departments as required

To be successful in your application for the buyer / senior buyer position, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience of sourcing products both within the UK and overseas
  • ERP experience and strong Microsoft EXCEL skills

In return, the buyer / senior buyer will receive a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience - possibly more for the right person) + pension, etc.
